Mid-century modern furniture embodies a renaissance of design, capturing a clean, sleek, and timeless aesthetic that has transcended generations. Originating in the mid-20th century, this style is characterized by its understated elegance, emphasizing function and simplicity over excess. Furniture pieces from this era are distinguished by their refined lines, organic curves, and a distinct emphasis on minimalism, often integrating more than one species, such as black walnut, oak and other domestic and exotic woods.
Our designs are centered around the style of George Nakashima who, in our opinion was the most influential master of the era. A blend of minimalism, and contemporary design, our furniture is crafted using mostly traditional japanese joinery and is designed to last for a lifetime.
